Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), established in 1844, is an acute tertiary care hospital with specialty centres in Rehabilitation Medicine and Communicable Diseases. Ohh dear!! It was in the news that a man was left paralysed by a car accidentand had to amputate his lower body. Months after the op, he felt a sharp pain in his stomach when he went tru fasting during The Ramadhan month. Went for a check up at the new Yishun hospital, KTPH recently and was shocked that the doctors found a 25cm feeding tube in his stomach!!!! Euughhhh!! How careful and 'safe' are doctors these days..??
3 Patients from TTSH have recently contracted a new strain of Super Bugs that's supposedly to be resistant to antibiotics treatment...!! Do wear masks when u enter this vacinity!!! Good news is, the strain of bugs in Singapore are still responsive to antibiotics for now.. but still.. WEAR A MASK!!! Sorry.. cut and pasted from my SGH post cuz they're linked... >.
I came to know about this hospital as my husband's collegue was admitted here for some neurological problem. The centre is considered to be very famous for the neurolgical department and others too.
