Everything's been quiet in the America 's Next Top Model coast especially after Saleisha Stowers controversially won the coveted title. Surely, she went through the usual post-show cycle interviews, but some have begun to ponder why she hasn't booked for any runway show during the New York Fashion Week.

What exactly is hindering Saleisha from trying to get into one of the biggest fashion events of the year? Had the show actually succumbed to the outrage of the dissatisfied viewers and were trying to hush the talk and downplay Saleisha's new career?

Apparently not. In fact, Saleisha has made an appearance at the American Visionary Arts Museum in Baltimore , MD. The museum held an event titled "Evening of Style," where Saleisha appeared to greet guests and lead the evening's fashion show.

Saleisha also recently had a conversation with Newsday, where she talked about the challenges she expects to face in a fashion industry that has been taking a lot of criticism once again for its lack of diversity.

"It takes a strong black woman to get out there and work the fashion industry," Saleisha stated. "And I am a strong black woman?.I would love to see more African-American faces. We are beautiful. There should be more of us on the runway."

As for the reason behind Saleisha's absence from any of the Fashion Week runways this year, her agent said, "Saleisha already has commitments including CoverGirl and doing publicity for America 's Next Top Model'We will definitely send her to the next one." Moreover, the agents said that Saleisha needs to become more seasoned.

Of course, Saleisha would have probably learned a lesson from Adrianne Curry, the first ever America 's Next Top Model winner, who complained about post-show assistance. Because of this, she was removed from the show's official list of winners. Good thing Saleisha won't make the same mistake, as she knows that " America 's Next Top Model is only a door-opener'I know it is up to me to make my career."
