GENERAL SUMMARY: The responsibilities for this position are to lead the design & qualification of LCD TV products, including creation of detailed technical specifications, and leading & coordinating the design activities. This position is responsible for the technical deliverables of the product to cost, performance, quality, and schedule requirements.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
¨ All activities necessary to design LCD TV products, including translating high-level requirements to technical specifications, driving system design, conducting detailed design reviews, and leading electronics team to deliver the product to its cost, quality, and schedule requirements.
¨ Collaboration as part of a cross-functional product team with supply chain, quality, industrialization, and manufacturing leaders to ensure product deliver and to resolve issues as needed.
¨ Collaboration with customer on early project scoping in terms of schedule, resource, and feature tradeoffs.
¨ Manage all development projects in accordance with Flextronics’s internal development processes and tools.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
¨ BSEE or MSEE with 10+ years experience in TV design including LCD TV and digital TV system design.
¨ Expertise in digital TV technology including worldwide broadcast standards, video processing, LCD display technology, color science and picture quality tuning.
¨ Outstanding leadership and organizational skills.
¨ Experience as a manager, mentoring and leading small teams.
¨ Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Must be confident & comfortable giving presentations both to customers and to Flextronics management. Multiple language skills a plus.
¨ Ability in organizing and managing multiple projects, setting priorities and working independently under aggressive timelines to deliver on all commitments.
¨ Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment.
