This sleek Oriental-themed restaurant by the Singapore River sets the stage for elegant and classy dining. The delectable, modern Cantonese-Szechuan cuisine proves to be a major crowd-drawer on weekdays and weekends. The restaurant boasts a much appreciated view of the beautiful waterfront. By night, the incandescent stars cast a glow through the glass windows, infusing the interior with a warm, orangey glow that is welcoming and sophisticated as well. Award winning Master Chef Foong Kok Thin and Food Advisor Wong Heng Ah invite you to a feast of the senses by bringing their wonderful culinary imagination to life. Exquisite Chinese dishes with a contemporary twist, stoke the stomach fires, as Peony-Jade continue to delight with an amazing ambrosial spread of Cantonese-szechuan treasures.

  • The Vibe
    Walls are imbued with splashes of red and violet, giving the area a chic and sophisticated look. Soft, floaty and sheer red curtains offer an air of intimacy that pervades the space, making this a perfect location for a cozy gathering, or even an exclusive, private wedding celebration. Plush, red carpeted stairs greet the diner, as one weaves up the romantic, candlelit stairway. Chairs are draped in rich burgundy fabrics, adding a touch of elegance to the dining area. Strains of soft instrumental music set the mood for a night of pleasant dining.

  • The Food
    Relish the wide range of Chinese dishes on the menu fit for a king. The Sze Chuan smoked duck with camphor wood and fragrant tea leaves ($30) is succulent and robust, delightfully complemented by the dark plum sauce. The dish is light and fragrant, unlike many other duck dishes which tend to be oil-soaked and pungent. Sink your teeth into the award winning Prawns in Beancurd Phyllo with fresh fruits that is delightfully unique and refreshing. The pinnacle of the meal is the Award winning baked cod fish with Mango sauce ($14). Tender, soft slabs of cod are delightfully draped with a tangy mango sauce and nectarous cubes of juicy mangoes. The surprising fusion of ingredients proves to be a complete success, as the popularity of the dish can attest to. Diners who like something less traditional will adore the Pan-fried goose Liver & Barbeque Eel. The liver is wholesome and rich in taste enhances the smoky flavor of the barbequed eel. Sweet and refreshing, allow the Lemon grass pudding with lime sorbet to cleanse your palate. The lime sorbet is cool, and explodes with flavor as it glides down the tongue.
