About the restaurant:
The restaurant is located in a 2-story shophouse. The decor is rustic-looking. Simple table and chairs, nothing fanciful. It was filled with moth balls and the smell of cockroaches.
Ordered Food:
Ordered rice with Acar and Gulai Ayam, a glass of lime juice.
My verdict:
Acar was stale and tasted like it had some medication in it. Gulai Ayam was not tasty - very blah.
Worst of all, on the way up to the second storey to find myself a seat (since there were very limited seats on the first floor), the staircase was lined with a lot of moth balls and there was an extremely pungent smell of moth balls and cockroach! Upon entering the room on the second floor, we found more moth balls everywhere on the floor. The place was air -conditioned and it did not have any window opening to air the place. My friend and I could not bring ourself to eat with that smell on the second floor, so we quickly moved to the first floor, only to find that the Acar i ordered was stale.
Verdict: That would be my first and last time there. Never will go there again, and do not recommend this restaurant at all, unless you like the smell of moth balls, cockroaches and stale acar.
