About the restaurant:
First of all Sui is located in a nice white Colonial style building that gives a first good impresion when you enter. The place has a large sushi bar, which allows you to admire the chef preparing your food. The restaurant has also closed rooms but this is not where I prefer to be as I like to chat with chefs and look at them slice and dice fish. Sui's chef is very jovial and knows so much about the products he's cooking and how to please you.
Ordered Food:
Every bite of food is fantastic! ... really .... and the fish is directly flown from Japan twice a week, which give you the opportunity to taste any seasonal products.
But food is not the only uniqueness of this place: the Saké list is impressive and allows you to appreciate to another level your plate.
I have eaten Japanese for many years in many countries such as the US, Europe or Asia and what strikes me the most in the freshness of the products, the creativity of the dishes and the price you pay for this level of cuisine.
My verdict:
I have never been to Japan but some Japanese friends told me that Sui is the best Japanese they've been to in Singapore. I strongly recommand this place for anyone who wants a truly unique Japanese culinary experience.
