It has become a popular spot for nature lovers and exercise enthusiasts. It is also a great place for morning and evening walks or strolls along the water's edge. Take a tree-top walk and enjoy the flora and fauna in MacRitchie Reservoir.
Beware joggers.... deep within this reservoir lies a 127 year old tomb.... of which there are no records of whose tomb it is or what is below this slab of rocks... Despite it's mysterious origins.. it seems that there is someone who still takes care of this spirit...by offering candles and incense at the tomb... Joggers do note NOT to kick it when doing ur jogs...or consequence will be unfavorable..
I love nature and the outdoors. Nothing beats a good and relaxing walk through this reservoir. I once completed the 12km trail through the jungle and tree top canopy and felt such a sense of achievement. You should try it too!
On a Saturday morning, at the Macritchie Resevoir you'll be able to see water sports activity. Young people will be rowing their kayaks or canoes. Perhaps if you are a nature lover don't forget to bring along your camera.
Singapore's oldest reservoir. Rubber trees, remnants of the plantations from the 19th century, can still be seen along the fringes around the reservoir.
The view from the observatory tower. Amazing that singapore has such greenery. A defintiely must do!
