I have seen a lot of people who went to pulau ubin to take a break from the busy city life. It has a very relaxing scenery around it and its perfect for nature lovers to visit.
On this island, you will get to see traditional kelongs and prawn farms. It is also a suitable for trekking in the jungle. Pulau Ubin is also famous for its flora and fauna.
Take a nature hike @ Pulau Ubin for just $5+ for a ferry ride to the island. Get a map from the National Parks Kiosk from 8.30am-5pm daily and being your hike!
Singapore's last 'Kampung'. Is a great day trip walking or pedaling through rustic roads under swaying coconut palm. Feels like back to the 60's. Good food, fresher air, sights and sounds so soothing to the soul.
There are a few families staying in this area. I went to their house with a group of friends to help them clean up the house and the area around it. An experience of the kampung style of living.
