Tiong Bahru Plaza and its vicinity is a haven for food lovers. Opposite the shopping centre, just behind the bus stop, the Lok Lok coffee shop offers local food at budget prices throughout the day till late evening. Among those popular are mixed vegetables rice (lunch), ze char (dinner), fried kway teow and carrot cake, yong tau foo (newly opened), wanton noodles. But my favourites are fishball noodle and chicken rice!
Tiong bahru plaza is easily accessible with the mrt station just at the basement. The NTUC provides daily grocery needs from fresh poultry to cooked food. The plaza also holds a golden village cinema for residents around the neighbourhood to catch the latest movies, thus you will not fret where and what to do during weekday and weekend nights!
Needless to say Tiong Bahru Plaza is certainly a food haven. This mall comprises of almost all of the reputable fast food outlets and japanese restaurants in Singapore. On top of that, the KopiTiam at the top level has a huge variety of other food choices and the claypot dish there is especially delicious!!
At Tiong Bahru Plaza, the KopiTiam Food Court on Level 3 opens its doors from 10 am, with most of the stalls ready to welcome early birds with piping hot food. Health buffs can opt for unpolished brown rice at 80 cents per bowl at the vegetarian food stall.
With tiong bahru mrt just below it, tiong bahru plaza is easy to access. when you exit the mrt control, turn left and left up the escalator will lead you to b1 of the building whereby shops like NTUC are there. Begin your shopping experience there.
Whenever i visit tiong bahru plaza, the word food will always come to my mind. You can practically see eating outlets all over the place. You can choose to have some snacks or go to the restaurants to dine.
