Journalists should stress that this terrible and difficult problem does not involve the Province of Salerno. Bins full of rubbish, terrible smells, tourists rejecting the idea of coming to this wonderful region, this is the portrait of Campania offered today by media to the world. We would like to underline the fact that the Province of Salerno has no reason to worry: it includes the most effective towns of Southern Italy in the waste recycling. The process for the collection of rubbish is now actually operating very well in all tourist places in the province of Salerno: Positano, Amalfi Coast, for example, Cilento Coast and in the centre of Salerno, where streets are clean and do not show any signs of rubbish.
