Abstract
"HE WHO HAS HEALTH HAS HOPE, AND HE WHO HAS HOPE HAS EVERYTHING"
It is truly said that when wealth is lost something is lost but when health is lost everything is lost.
One may have a lot of wealth, several chefs bidding at his command to cook the most delicious food for him. But if he is not healthy and is advised by the doctor not to eat it then he may not be able to satisfy his hunger with the mouth watering cuisines waiting on the table for him.
Another person may want to work hard in his organization and give outstanding results in order to get promotion or a salary hike.. Even though he might be willing to work really hard but incase he is not healthy and feels fatigued after a few hours of work then his willingness to work hard will bear no fruits for him. A healthy and fit body is necessary to fulfill the wishes of the mind.
Causes of Sickness

One must make a religious effort to maintain one's weight and to keep oneself away from tension.

TO DOS for a Healthy Body
Get up early - Remember the nursery rhyme you learnt, "Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise" Its not just rhyme but a truth.
Devote a few minutes to either a morning walk or some kind of exercise daily.
Eat a few almonds in the morning which have been soaked overnight.
Eat a proper breakfast. Try and take a glass of skimmed milk in the morning.
Drink a lot of water during the day. Water taken during the day helps in dieting. Always sit when you drink water.
Take salads before lunch.
You can take a nap after lunch if possible but even if you have enough free time after lunch don't sleep in the afternoon for long.
Take a light dinner.
Do not drink juice or eat fruits or curd after 5 pm.
Cook food in low oil.
Oil your hair twice a week. But don't let the oil be there in your hair for long because oil prevents the free flow of air in the body.
Take more of green vegetables in your daily diet.
Importance of Calcium
Calcium is an important component of a healthy diet. Calcium is essential for the normal growth and maintenance of bones and teeth, and calcium requirements must be met throughout life. Long-term calcium deficiency can lead to osteoporosis, in which the bone deteriorates and there is an increased risk of fractures.
Deficiency of Calcium:-
&bull Affect bone formation
&bull Affect teeth formation
Over-retention of Calcium:-
&bull Cause hypercalcemia (elevated levels of calcium in the blood)
&bull Impaired kidney function
&bull Decreased absorption of other minerals.
High calcium intakes or high calcium absorption were previously thought to contribute to the development of kidney stones. However, more recent studies show that high dietary calcium intakes actually decrease the risk for kidney stones.
Sources of Calcium:-
&bull . Dairy products
&bull Almonds
&bull Oranges
&bull Figs
Importance of Vitamin D:-
It is needed to absorb calcium.
Vitamin D is added to some calcium supplements. Vitamin D is not necessary, but it might be beneficial if the person has low vitamin D status. Proper vitamin D status is important because vitamin D is converted to a hormone in the body which then induces the synthesis of intestinal proteins responsible for calcium absorption.
More About Health
Proper rest and recovery is also as important to health as exercise, otherwise the body exists in a permanently injured state and will not improve or adapt adequately to the exercise
Hygiene practices include bathing, brushing and flossing teeth, washing hands especially before eating, washing food before it is eaten, sterilizing food preparation utensils and surfaces before and after preparing meals, and many others.
CONCLUSION
The first wealth is Health. The progress of a Nation depends on the competence of its citizens. If the people of the Nation have a healthy mind then they can think better on the Social, Economic and Technological aspects. If they have a healthy body then they can guard the frontiers of the Nation. If we really love our Nation and want to do something for its betterment then the first think which we need to do is to keep ourselves healthy.
