by: Sophia

The aim of the Malaysia Tourism Centre (MTC) is to aid in assisting the in flux of tourists that is growing year by year. It is a one stop centre for tourists to acquire information about things to see and do in Malaysia. Located along Jalan Ampang, MTC is driven by the mission of putting Malaysia on the map as a global holiday destination.

The building that houses the MTC itself is both an architectural and history landmark. Its architecture reflects the colonial period in which it was built in and even after refurbishment, the building retains its glory and value. The MTC is conveniently located within walking distance to the Petronas Twin Towers, Ranaissance and New World Hotel, Suria KLCC and many other attractions in the city. Its central location makes it the perfect location for it is easily accessible to all.

Various services and facilities are offered at MTC. Tourist information counters, tourist police counters, internet access, ATM machines, a money changer and many more are at your fingertips. Visitors, both local and international, are welcome to utilise the services and facilities offered.

Besides offering services and facilities, the MTC also organises programmes to promote tourism in Malaysia. Most of these events are cultural programmes such as musicals and dance performances. Such events promote Malaysia as a diverse holiday destination with many races and cultures. In addition to these short programmes, MTC is also an ideal venue for exhibitions and performing arts. Similarly, most programmes that are held at the MTC are aimed to promote the country’s unique culture and heritage. These programmes are held throughout the year so do make your way to MTC for more details on the events calendar.
