Bukit Jalil District Guide

Bukit Jalil – what instantly comes to mind is an industrial township that is practically brimming over the top with activities! What surrounds the many corporate buildings are the manicured landscape of Technology Park Malaysia (TPM); bringing a much-needed au natural touch to the otherwise austere Bukit Jalil.

One major place of attraction is the National Stadium Bukit Jalil, which spans a whopping twenty-six thousand square feet and is the biggest in Malaysia. Its seating capacity easily reaches one hundred thousand spectators at any one time. Needless to say, the National Stadium Bukit Jalil is a firm attraction and tourist spot for all. The mammoth arena is utilized by events companies; a wide range of events are hosted here and these include corporate events, international concerts, Family Day weekend activities and sporting events too. The 16 th Commonwealth Games was proudly hosted by Malaysia eight years ago, and people all over the world watched the broadcast that took place right smack from the majestic National Stadium at Bukit Jalil!

Feel like being commandeered by uniformed men? Get up close and personal with precious military show pieces at the Royal Malaysian Air Force Museum! Be a part of Malaysia’s Air Force and relive history once again with ancient photographs, displays of full uniform sets, weaponry and many more such army paraphernalia. Need an extra reason to go to the Royal Malaysian Air Force Museum? The Hawker Audax aircraft was utilized by the British when military aviation in Malaya started way back in the thirties’ era… and a model of that particular aircraft is also displayed here at the museum!

Among other attractions is also the Bukit Jalil Golf & Country Resort, a breathtaking, selected choice resort complete with recreational activities for the work-weary city dwellers. Its facilities are of an elite standard and comprise of plush ballrooms and other recreational activities. Golf is the main sport played at the Bukit Jalil Golf & Country Resort; regular golf enthusiasts are able to practice their putting skills on the lush green courses and also swing their clubs at the driving range, which is uniquely located a level below the tennis courts! Patrons at the club can also indulge in other types of activities like karaoke and bowling, which are indoors. After recreation, visitors are able to quench their thirst and fill their stomachs with a variety of delicious international cuisine available.

There are plenty of other activities that cater towards the younger crowd too. Xtion Paintball Park in Bukit Jalil offers vigorous, teamwork action and not to mention a tonnage of fun for several hours! Eateries are aplenty around Bukit Jalil and the diversified list includes a few popular restaurants like Kin No Uma Japanese Restaurant, which serves sashimi, teppanyaki and sushi; and Cavallini’s Italian Restaurant, which caters towards the pasta and pizza lovers in us! With varied food, accommodation and recreational choices in Bukit Jalil, it is no wonder that it will still be a thriving and bustling city for many decades to come!
