Ciao Caffe Ristorante: You’ll Be Back For More
by: Sophia

Ironic as the name might be, Ciao Ristorante is not in the business of making sure you don’t make a return visit. In truth, you’ll be so delighted that you wouldn’t want to leave. As the name suggests, you’ll be served with fine Italian cuisine that is both candy to the eye and to the lips.

      o     The Vibe

Ciao Ristorante is housed in a bungalow along Jalan Tun Razak and might be easily missed because it is towered over by the RHB Centre. The exterior has sort of a colonial feel to it but the interior screams elegance and sophistication. The warm lighting and the soft colours adds on to the warmth of the place and the overall feel is chic and romantic. The outdoor area is a quaint little veranda area that caters to diners who would prefer the fresh air and the view of the greenery in the backyard.

      o     The Food

Be prepared to be stunned by the culinary skills of the owner and the chef who hails from Venice, Italy. Everything on the menu sounds delicious so chances are you won’t be disappointed, whatever your selection might be. The chef recommends the Linguine Marinara, a seafood pasta with garlic and extra virgin olive oil. A generous portion of linguine and fresh seafood is used and its natural taste is not compromised by the other ingredients. The highlight of Ciao would be the Filetto di Merluzzo Allo Zafferano which translates to pan fried cod fish filet on a bed of sautéed zucchini, served with saffron sauce and a touch of sun dried tomato puree. It is an absolutely delightful dish as the cod fish is fresh, smooth, soft, moist and juicy. Feel the layers melt in your mouth and don’t forget to dip it with the saffron sauce which is the perfect compliment to the cod fish. To complete an already delightful meal, take a dive into the dolci menu. The notable desserts would be the Tiramisu Classico and the Panna Cotta al Cioccolato, both traditional Italian desserts. The Tiramisu is creamy and not too overwhelming which makes it suitable for non coffee lovers as well. The Panna Cotta is just a delight to view as it arrives at your table covered in chocolate sauce. This creamy egg-less Italian custard is so smooth that it just melts in your mouth while the coconut flavour lingers on.

      o     The Service

Service at Ciao is nothing short of excellent. The staff is well groomed and prompt in making sure your needs are attended to. Warm smiles and greetings are seen all around and with such immaculate service, your visit to Ciao Ristorante comes to a full circle.
