Arrive and Depart in Style @ KLIA
by: Sophia

The Kuala Lumpur International Airport isn’t exactly located in Kuala Lumpur. It is located in Sepang and is surrounded by four major cities; Kuala Lumpur, Shah Alam, Seremban and Malacca. This makes it accessible to many people traveling inbound and outbound.

KLIA boasts the latest in technology to facilitate the in flux of planes and passengers that pass through its gates. Every effort has been made to make your arrival and departure simple and fuss free. The services and facilities provided are top notch, making it one of the most efficient airports in the world. It comes as no surprise that KLIA was voted as the World’s Best Airport for two consecutive years, 2005 and 2006.

The interior and exterior of the airport is well maintained. It is a homely airport that is abundant in space and cosy as well. Its environment is one that is calm and serene even though there are hundreds of people checking in and out at any one time. The sheer size of the airport allows for the comfortable dispersal of people coming and going.

KLIA’s concept revolves around the “airport in the forest and forest in the airport” theme. Nature and greenery is an integral part of KLIA and its environment is testament to that. The airport is literally in a forest and its surrounding areas boast lush greenery and open lands that have yet to be touched. It is the natural surroundings that adds character to the airport and enhances the cool and calm in KLIA.

Facilities and services at KLIA are abundant. Within the premises, you will be able to find a business centre, a children’s play area, hotels, information counters, a viewing gallery and many more. Other services such as ATM’s, foreign currency exchange, transportation and many more are also available. The airport is also fully equipped with wireless internet for those who need to be connected while on the go. The Wifi will come in handy for those last minute reservation confirmations as well as to send out those last minute emails before you depart on your journey.

At KLIA, you will experience how easy it is to fly. The staff are all well trained to provide you with efficient service and its topped off with a smile. Not only is KLIA functional, it is also a sight to see. The grandeur and the charm of KLIA will make your first and last impression of Malaysia a memorable one.
