o        Caving (Spelunking)

Sarawak boasts the world’s largest and most extensive cave system. It has rough mountains and cliffs which are still untouched by most climbers. It is advised that you shouldn’t meander in caves unaccompanied, without a guide if you have little knowledge of caving and its dangers it can bring.

 

o        Diving

Sarawak is known to have beautiful sparkling emerald waters in Asia. Therefore, it’s a great location to see the variety of marine life living in Sarawak waters.

 

o        Golf

Bring along your favourite clubs into Sarawak as they have scenic, “Arnold Palmer “style and interesting golf courses.  Most of these golf courses are located at Santubong near Kuching as well as a number of others in the city.

 

o        Kite Flying

The most popular and exciting sport throughout Malaysia. Competitions are being held regularly and you will be able to watch some incredible maneuvers with a number of kites being flown in conjunction with each other.

 

o        Jungle Trekking

This is a great activity to enjoy and do for the whole family. But do take note as it can be challenging also especially if you venture on the more difficult trails. It would be best for you to choose trails which suit your fitness level.

 

o        Sailing

Another sport activity that one can enjoy with your family in Sarawak is sailing. Sarawak boasts great scenic coloured waters has its fair share for water activities. Do check out with your hotels or resorts as they might have services to rent out small sailboats, dinghies and catamarans. So start sailing, slap on some sun block and just enjoy the wind in your hair!

 

o        Rainforest adventures

Almost 70% of Sarawak is covered with the world’s oldest rainforest, rainforest adventures being held here can be most challenging at all levels.

 

o        Mountain Biking

Mountain biking has been a favourite pastime here in Sarawak. There are trails of different lengths throughout the state especially in the Kuching area. Please check the respective National Parks in the area you are in or the Sarawak Tourist Association and enquire on the rates of hiring a bike.

 

o        White Water Rafting

Sarawak has a network of rivers with different speed. You could expect rapids as slow and lazy meandering to the fast and heart stopping rapids. Please check for more information at your hotel or tour guide if they offer such activities.
