The Cancer: How it All Began

by : oded levy

The commonness of cancer in the ancient world was very rare.
It was a different world where the balanced diet was based on,
cereals, vegetables and fruits and very little from the wild (meat, milk, eggs, fish, sea food).
A world that water and air pollution were very minimal, a world that was clean from industrial waste and insecticides, a world that radioactive and electro magnetic radiation was missing.
Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, who lived in Greece in the 5th century B.C., was the first to discover and describe cancer.
The cancer started to be more frequent years after, with the beginning of the industrial revolution in Europe in the 17th century.
the symptoms were chemical changes in the body tissues,
And it became even more frequent in the beginning of the 20th century.
The commonness of cancer in the western society is much higher then it is in the traditional society.
Its agreed that a big part of cancer dieses are caused by an unbalanced diet and bad eating habits, that caused by exaggerated consuming of proteins, fats, diabetes, and processed food that contains a lot of chemicals. Once this exaggerated consumption became a part of the society's regular diet, the morbidity of cancer dieses increased.

In 1988 the world's health organization announced that the delegation of the diet is the reason to 40% cancer in men,
and 60% cancer dieses in women.
By these statistics the world's health organization suggests to increase consuming cereals, fruits and vegetables, and decrease
the consumption from the wild (meat, milk products, eggs, fish, see food, etc').
As more as the average life expectancy is rising, so as the morbidity of cancer diseases. If 50 years ago only 1 out of 8 people, in the industrial countries had cancer, today with the growing life expectancy it standing on 1 out of 3.
If the morbidity from cancer will keep increasing like today, by the year 2050, every citizen of the western countries will have some kind of cancer. The morbidity will rise and will be as a plague.

In order to stop this very sad prophecy, its necessary to increase the awareness of the people, young and old, that the cancer is preventable. Prevention is easy, not painful, and even cheap. Whereas healing is a long, painful, complicated expansive process that its chances are not guaranteed.
