Bundled Software:

by : Manjula

Bundle software is a combination of two or more softwares in a single package. They sell these in bundles for variable reasons like attracting buyers, selling the outdated softwares with the top sellers and so on. Sometimes software is bundled up with a computer hardware device.

For example, we get mouse driver software with any computer mouse we buy. We even get the MS office installed when we buy a new PC. A simple example for bundle software is Panda Titanium + Antispyware OEM 2008. Most of the bundle softwares are cheaper than the combined retail price of the softwares bundled. More over these bundle softwares will be tested before they hit the retail market.

So the combination of hardware devices, application softwares, operating system softwares will work properly as the new one without a doubt. But new recent softwares don't usually come as bundles. It would be a treat to all those bundle shoppers if this happens. But merchants give discounts and special offers like free updates till a year or so to keep up with the buyers.

If you don't want to buy new PCs with bundle wares, you can always go for the Microsoft Open License. Here you would only require purchasing 5 PCs licenses. For a small scale business, this would really work out.

The bundle software carries a few setbacks too. I have not experienced any setbacks with bundle wares, but here are some which I came to know. The software may not be fast loading, poor specification and instruction guides and have poor technical support. But when considering the price, it may be a smart thing to go for.
