Sembawang Park by :
Sabrina Sulaimi
The distinctive blue dice design found on the park furniture will greet visitors to Sembawang Park. This 15-ha beautiful park with its rolling lawn, undulating terrain and matured vegetation was developed on a piece of land formerly occupied by the British forces. The colonial building, Beaulieu House, was the former residence of the then Admiral Beaulieu. It has since been restored. Aged Tembusu trees and other matured trees provide a shady setting; ideal for strolls, jogs and picnics. The enchanting beach front is a wonder at a dawn and dusk. People are drawn to this park, whether to relax or to indulge in their favourite past times, be it fishing from the 30km jetty at the sea front, a quick dip in the sea or a jog around the park. Facilites: BBQ pits, children’s playground, foot reflexology path, restroom with shower facilities, 1.5 km footpath. Activities: BBQ, in-line skating, boating, camping, foot reflexology, fishing, exercising, kite flying, sea sports. |
