Are you a daredevil? You must visit one of Sentosa's latest attractions, the Sentosa Luge. Race down a 650-metre track, whiz past trees and round bends to the hippy SilosoBeach (2 - 5 mins). After the ride, sit on a four-seater chairlift that takes you back to the starting point, which is situated on a hilltop opposite the CarlsbergSkyTower.
Well, what is a luge exactly? It is a self driving car system in which riders control the speed by pushing a pair of handlebars back and forth. Therefore, they are in control on the speed of their non-motorized three-wheeled cart. All riders receive a full safety briefing from the staff. Each rider is made to wear a safety helmet and they should be at a height of at least 110 cm tall to ride on their own.
If otherwise, they will be teamed up with another adult. And for the chairlift ride, children must be over 90 cm tall. The Sentosa Luge can accommodate up to 800 rides and the chairlift can move about 1,600 people in an hour. Duration of the one ride can last for about ten minutes. Hop on the Asia's first Sentosa Luge for a fun filled ride.
