About Bustling with activity, Upper Changi lies west of Changi and comprises mainly residential areas and businesses. Yet this area is serene and close to the beach, the airport and major expressways.
Residential The houses in the Upper Changi area are mostly landed property or condominiums. Many of these houses are rented and provide accommodation for expatriates. Popular condominiums include Sunhaven, a landscape with an outdoor theme, and Changi Rise Condominium, which offers an aerial view of the neighboring estates.
Most of the recreational facilities in the area are found in privately-owned clubs such as the SIA Group Sports Club.
Industrial The Upper Changi district is the home of many companies and industries. Xilin Avenue , a road in the Upper Changi area, is where Changi Business Park is located. This park was set up by Jurong Town Corporation (JTC), a Government-Linked Company (GLC). It is a maze of high-tech factories and offices that are leased out to companies such as Credit Suisse, Bodyknits, Kingsmen and Robinson's. Further east and nearer to the Changi district are buildings such as SIA Computer Centre, Diethelm Keller Group offices.
Also along Xilin Avenue is the Singapore Expo, a complex specially designed to hold international exhibitions, conferences and concerts. It is the home of nationwide events such as Singapore Fashion Festival and Singapore Food Festival.
Nearby is the Changi Water Reclamation Plant (CWRP), a Public Utilities Board (PUB) project that recycles water.
