Ghim Moh is known island-wide, especially for foodies, for its abundance of famous hawker stalls. With only 21 blocks in the estate, Ghim Moh is a small neighbourhood with Ulu Pandan Community Centre, a wet market and a very brisk food centre

Ghim Moh belongs to the Ulu Pandan division of Holland-Bukit Timah Group Representation Constituency and is represented by MP Christopher de Souza.

Ghim Moh has been one of the early HDB housing sites. On December 8, 2006, Blocks 9 to 12, 9A and 12A on Ghim Moh Road were announced to be affected under the Selective En-bloc Redevelopment Scheme (SERS). The replacement flats are expected to be ready by 2011.

Places of Interest
Ghim Moh is widely visited by avid foodies as the sole food centre, at Block 20, is home to a number of well-known food stalls. Of special mention are their specialities of hor fun, fried dough fritters, char kway teow, wanton mee, carrot cake and yong tau foo.

Ghim Moh is entirely made up of mature HDB flats. There are no private condominiums or landed property in this area.

The nearest Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) train station is Buona Vista (EW21) station. There are also a number of bus routes, namely services 92, 92a, 100, 111, that serve Ghim Moh and terminate at the Ghim Moh Bus Terminal.
