Your life isn't a single entity. It is an ongoing series of small actions, thoughts and phenomena. By changing a single attitude, a single habit, you are changing your life.
Lose that pair of shoes that pinches the little toe of your left foot. You've changed your life. Buy a pint of cherries and some snap peas instead of the usual bag of chips and chocolate bar for your TV snack. You've changed your life. Call an old friend and tell them you love them. You've changed your life, and made somebody's day. Every decision, no matter how small, that you make to improve your lot and the lot of those around you changes your life for the better.
It may be that you're looking for Big Change. Sorry pal, no can do. I'd love to "change the world" in one fell swoop, eliminate hunger, disease, war and the music of Nickelback all at once but life doesn't work that way. What I can do is sponsor a family in the developing world, donate time or money to a sexual health clinic that distributes free condoms and information, support organizations that work for social justice in war-torn or at-risk countries and call my local rock station, requesting that they stop playing cheese. Baby steps, but I'll still have affected positive change in the world.
It's time to see the forest for its trees. If you are fat, figure out why you are fat. It does no good to make 'lose weight' your generalized goal, unless you know why that excess weight is there. Limit your time in front of the television, if that's what it takes. If your problem is bad food, choose good food. If work stress is draining your energy, change jobs. It's that simple.
There's one more means of improving your life that's even simpler than implementing baby steps toward change. It's taking stock of what doesn't need to change. What already works for you? What already brings you pleasure? What are you proud of? What's worth keeping?
By identifying the positive aspects of your life, you'll come to realize that your life isn't so bad to begin with. This will give you the strength to affect necessary change, while enjoying and appreciating the awesome person that you already are.

1000 Films To Change Your Life
Life is good. When you think with a positive attitude, your whole demeanor changes. On the other hand, as you look at life as negative, negative things will follow you. Test it out. I'd rather you tested out thinking positive about every day things and watch your life improve. Your entire feeling of well-being will improve.
For example, if you are waiting in line and sick of standing there, try to think of others that wish they had the money to buy the items you are purchasing. Be grateful you have the money and job to live your life in a more comfortable way. Or perhaps think of the ill person stuck in bed. I am sure they would love to be standing in line instead of feeling awful.
Instead of complaining you have to get up early to go to work be happy you have a job. To help you wake up easier have a glass of water by your bed. By drinking the water right away it will wake you up. Also, the night before your new day, post a note on your alarm clock.
The note should say something like "I am a wonderful giving person." You can write anything positive to your character. And lastly, think of one fun thing you get to do that day. For instance, I am going to lunch with my co-workers and we will share a lot of laughs. It can be anything from simple to complex.
By turning your life around you will be an inspiration to others. They will think of you when they think of good and happy things. You will truly be inspirational to people and they will feed off of your positive attitude. Soon they will be passing this joy on to others in turn. This is one way to make the entire world better.
By you changing your attitude, you will be changing others' outlook on life one person at a time. Each person will experience an uplifting source of renewal and optimism from you. Think just how elated you will feel when you know you have helped others by helping yourself.
If you look at things with an appreciative attitude your life will change. Yes your life will change dramatically. You will see a transformation in your life as well as in the lives of others, indeed for the better. You are an inspirational person.
