For those who think this is a lot of work, consider the benefits articles can provide. One article can be used in many ways. If you have a newsletter, you can use these in your newsletters, and release them later to article banks for wide distribution to bring more backlinks and authority to your website.

When doing this, it is good to publish the article in your newsletter, then let a period of time lapse before they are distributed far and wide. You want your subscribers to feel special and therefore it is best that they get the article while it is still fresh and not widely seen.

At some point in time, you can gather a number of articles into a pdf and offer it as a free report and include your affiliate links along with a link back to your website. This report, if it is good, could become a valuable viral resource bringing your site traffic, and also providing an extra source of revenue.
