The max power produced will be 2 kilowatts, which equals to running a fridge and one room of lights. You can also think of it another way in that the generator can power 20 light bulbs that are 100 watts each. If the average home has 2 to 3 lights in a room, with three bedrooms and two baths, you would be able to supply power to every room. You could also consider running a fridge and television with one generator depending on the maximum volts.

The amount of power the generator produces should not be exceeded; therefore, you need a generator that will fit your needs. The small standby generators offered on the market typically produce enough power to keep your home running during a power outage, as long as you power one large device at a time. The amount of fuel a generator will hold also determines the length of use the generator can give you. The smaller generators will run for a continuous 4.5 hours to 6 hours, and typically have a 4 litre petrol tank.
