Only then is it possible to prevent or repair offense and let go of the everlasting unpleasantness that otherwise would develop and fester.

Sometimes unacceptable behaviour just has to be accepted. How tolerant are you? In spite of that pause a while and you may well see that the unexpected occurrences, the surprises and disenchantments are actually the best bits camouflaged as misfortune.
