Well, unfortunately, that is not you. You hate the weight, the fat look, the lethargy you feel throughout the course of a day. You are embarrassed to be seen in a bathing suit. You avoid friends you haven't seen in a while, for fear of what they will think and say about the fat you have accumulated in your gut. You don't even like your spouse seeing you without clothes, because you feel that if you look fat and ugly to yourself, then you definitely must look fat and ugly to your spouse. It is a vicious psycle.
Is there anything you can do, or are you always destined to be fat and unhappy? Yes, there is something you can do. No, you don't always have to be fat and unhappy. But only you can change the way you look and feel. But how?
It begins with baby steps. Yes, you'll begin exercising. Yes, you'll begin to watch what you eat and change your diet. But the most important thing you will need to change is your mind. You are entitled to be happy. Deep down inside, you want to be happy. You need to be happy. You want to feel thinner, to look thinner, and actually be thinner. But how? You hate to exercise and you love to eat whatever and whenever you want.
This is where the total change in your mindset will overpower your aversion to exercise and your cravings for snacks and foods, especially those which you know you should be eliminating.
Change your 'mind'. Tell yourself you are entitled to look good, feel good, and the associated happiness that comes with it. Drill it into your head that the happiness you seek is more important than the extra ice cream or potato chips or juicy cheeseburger you know that you should not be eating. Your happiness is more important than the canceling of your scheduled hike or walk or postponing or canceling your scheduled exercise session.
It is all in your mind. You can do it. Think thin. Be thin. Change your bad eating habits. Dream of being thin. Losing 30-60 lbs. or more is not easy. Losing this weight literally has to take over your life, especially in your mind. Everything in your day to day life will revolve around whether something is good for your waistline or not. Keep your mind in line, and the lbs. will fall like bowling pins. You will be amazed at your increased level of happiness and self-esteem that you so richly deserve and have not experienced in such a long time.
Nobody can do it but you. Start today. Let your mind change the way you live your life, and watch the pounds fall off and your self-worth soar. You 'can' do it. You 'must' do it. You 'will' do it. You owe it to the people around you to lose the excess weight, but, most of all, you owe it to yourself. Flatten your stomach gut in 6 weeks and watch how much you'll be feeling better about yourself. Mind over matter. Better yet, mind over gut.
