Try as you might to stay focussed, you probably find that you end up feeling overwhelmed with all the information that continues to come flooding in through emails every day, like an incessant Tsunami, just because you clicked on some links here and there out of some earlier curiosity. The more you try not to jump around on the Internet, the more you seem to continually become distracted, heading off yet again in some erratic direction.



Okay, the good news is, you are human and what is happening to you is normal. So don't give yourself too much of a hard time. Okay? Good. Now, let me suggest to you what you might like to do to start over, or re-focus if you like.

First of all, when you knock off from work tonight, break the pattern of distraction. Instead of heading straight home to bury yourself under mountains of cyberspace information and re-submerge into the electronic Tsunami again, go to the gym instead and have a workout, or go for a walk. Once that's done, have a shower, pour yourself your favourite refreshing drink and relax on the couch for no other reason but to enjoy your soothing beverage. No stinking thinking okay? Just take a breather.

Okay, now it's time. If you have joined a "reputable" online marketing business, all you need to do is just stop doing anything else other than the business for now, AND set yourself a schedule. Make sure your schedule is do-able. A relatively easy schedule is as simple as a one, two, three strategy:

1. Post one ad per day of one of your affiliate products, and don't go to bed until that ad has been placed;

2. Submit two articles per week, preferably on the two nights you are not intending to go to the gym for a workout;

3. Post three new blogs per month.

In each of the above three strategies, make sure you include a link back to your primary website.

Once you are confident you have nailed these three initial strategies, you can then begin to surf the net and check out all sorts of other marketing possibilities, and believe me when I say, there are a gazillion of them. The "fantastic offers" or the so-called "never to be repeated" opportunities, WILL always be there. Just please leave them alone until you have accomplished setting up your schedule of 1, 2, 3.

If you are not with an automated online Internet business system - well, you have plenty of work in front of you. Better still, become involved with a reputable Internet business and save yourself the stress.

If you are a beginner, I strongly, fervently, even ardently urge you to become involved with a reputable online marketing business from the start, because all of the hard stuff is already done for you and you get to have your own sponsor, known as a mentor, to help you when needed. Do your due diligence first. Ensure the company delivers what it promises, as there are scams and rip offs out there just waiting for new online victims.

Patience is most important when marketing on the Internet, as lots of adjustments and testing will need to be done to make sure that each and every aspect of your 1, 2, 3 system can achieve optimal results for your online business. But take heart, because success can begin at any time and when it does, you have the exhilaration of watching it begin to grow.

You will never achieve anything without initial effort on your part. You need to plant the seeds of success now, so that you can reap the benefits of your online business when it truly runs on auto-pilot in future.
