You don't have to be the world's greatest salesman to sell ice in Antartica. All you need is a reliable PC, a good internet connection and something to sell. And yes, something means anything an old pair of Jimmy Choos, a knockout vampire artwork that could work as a comicbook cover, your services as a CPA, the list is endless.
Anybody can sell anything online and that includes you. Here's how:
Get employed.
Millions of people are online workers, either part-time or full-time. If you like working at home and have enough discipline and focus, this could be for you. Go to websites that offer freelance work opportunities. Chances are, you'll find an online job that's a perfect fit, with thousands of jobs for nearly every specialization: accounting, literature, teaching, writing, engineering, nursing, even secretarial work.
Sell your hobby.
Hobbies have always been a great source of income and what better way to make money with them than selling your products online? Set up your own website or sell through another site. It's a great way to turn your talent into cash and who knows? It could become a full-time business.
Auction your old stuff.
Really, how many shoes and handbags do you truly need? Not nearly enough, you say? If you haven't used a few in months or years, you're likely not to use them for another month, or year. Why not put them up for auction and turn those oldies into cash?
Other than ebay and yahoo, there are lots of websites that offer their auction services for a small fee. All you have to do is take a picture of your goods, upload it online and participate in an auction. A great thing about this is that if your old handbag is attractive enough, interested bidders can jack up your price to a nice figure. Remember, almost anything can be put up for auction these days, even toasted bread. And that is a fact.
Set up a garage sale online.
Wondering where to put those beloved bunny figurines your mother has been threatening to throw in the garbage? Still have a few of those comicbooks you got in 6th grade lying around your room? Why not put them up for sale online?
Old items that are way too good for the garbage dump have a place in the internet. Someone somewhere wants that old maple jewelry box your grandma's grandma got on a trip to Tasmania, of all places. Your junk might just turn out to be someone else's dream.
Sell your services.
Professionals are one of the highest-paid online workers because someone always needs their expertise. Whether you're a lawyer, accountant, engineer, life coach or personal trainer, you can use your experience and knowledge to earn money online and you don't even need to have your own website. You can join groups or dedicated websites to advertise your skills.
Participate in online surveys.
This is one of the simplest ways to earn money online. In fact, if you're a tad lazy, you can even buy or download software that lets you fill out automatic information about you on online forms.
You'll need to register first as a member after which you will soon be receiving online surveys through your email. These surveys are time-sensitive and some are only active for several days during which you should be able to fill them out and then send them back.
Get published.
Easier said than done? Maybe 10 years ago, but the internet has made self-publication a breeze. If you have an expertise or specialized knowledge, why not write about it and offer it as an ebook? People already have had significant successes as ebook authors and some established writers have also taken advantage of this opportunity. Why not you?
Games For Money Online
They do not know what they want to do, just that they need an idea for making money on the Internet. I have always liked the thought that if you follow your heart the money will follow you.
Someday when you get a chance read by Confessions Of A Lazy Super Affiliate by Chris Rempel. His whole idea is that you want to find niches where people are ready to spend money right now. He thinks that those of us telling people to get involved in a niche you have a passion for is bad advice.
I see where he is coming from, but for a new person starting out with Internet marketing who do not have skills, I disagree with this. You will stick with it longer if you enjoy it. This can be tough to do when the checks are not rolling in.
Another excellent book I read a week or so ago was titled 20 Ways To Make $100 Per Day Online and it was fantastic. I learned two ideas myself that I can use next year to add to my income.
You can see I get my ideas to make money from home by reading what others are already doing. I think it is a good idea to take what you learn and re-do it to make it yours.
One thing they talk about in the 20 Ways book is thinking about what you know how to do right now that you could sell as a service.
- How about writing email marketing campaigns
- You might be to set up autoresponders for people.
- Maybe you know the best way to set up a traffic exchange campaign and you offer that as a service.
How about building websites or setting up blogs.
- Go offline and look at the millions of small businesses who do not have an online presence and help them get one.
- You could publish a newsletter for busy business owners
You get the idea. Some of this stuff makes more sense than just selling affiliate products in a niche you have a passion for. I do think the lazy affiliate is right on this.
When you look at it this way you are not following your passion, but one where you are an expert. You are selling your knowledge to people who will pay you for it.
This seems logical if you are an expert in something. This is a great idea for making money on the Internet because you will never run out of business. As long as there are website and blogs there will be people willing to pay for help to start and run them.
