Indulging in a spa experience is no more the privilege of the elite, with the increasingly indulgent populace trying to squeeze in time form their busy schedules to become a regular spa-goer. Spending weekends at the spa has become a habit with stress burdened workaholics. And though this is a good way of getting rid of the stress at the hands of professional massage therapists, it sometimes burns a hole in your pocket. Add to it the trouble of dragging yourself outdoors.
Home spa
A spa experience at home is the answer to al your woes. Rid yourself of the stress within the confines of your home, without having to spend a fortune on professional spa treatments. Creating a spa experience at home is not all that difficult as you imagined. Here are a few tips.
Prepare
Make a proper plan first. Shop for the treatment products and ingredients well in time. Keep cool water handy, select music CDs, put on comfortable clothes. Keep a washcloth by the sink.
Enjoy the privacy
You need to be only with yourself to reap complete benefits of the spa treatment. Put other things on a hold without guilt, and bask in your own company. Jumping out of the tub every now and then to attend to chores will lead to more stress. So, relax and arrange for a quiet time away from the world.
Keep it a regular day
Maintain your regular routine on the spa day too. Perform light exercises to warm up the upper body in the morning. Have a fruit or fruit juice before heavy exercising. Eat a normal, low fat breakfast.
Invest in good products
A scented bubble bath, a good body scrub, and moisturizing oils are some of the essentials. The perfumed bath will create a sense of relaxation through aromatherapy, while the scrubs will gently exfoliate the skin. Moisturizing oils will nourish and make the skin supple.
Indulge your hearing senses
Imagine listening to your favorite music while soaking inside the tub. Relaxing music has a favorable effect on the nerves. It will also have a catalyzing effect on your mind, making it drift with the flow and forget about all worries.
Illumination
Aromatic candles serve the dual purpose of providing light as well as aroma to soothe and relax your senses. It lends a relaxed ambience to the atmosphere, lightning up your mood to a considerable extent.
Treat yourself to beauty care
Pampering the body gives you a high. So condition your hair and apply a face mask to rejuvenate the skin. Softly scrub your skin of dead cells. Rub your feet with pumice stone to make it soft. All these treatments will leave you feeling beautiful by the end of it.
After bath
Don’t end the pampering once the bath is over. Nourish your body with moisturizing and conditioning cream, treat yourself to a pedicure, or paint your toe nails.
Give yourself a massage
Self massagers are available now-a-days to give you a massage. Alternatively, you can avail the services of a professional therapist to relax after treating yourself. So go ahead and enjoy the benefits of a massage, just like in a spa.
Fix up a routine
Making such sessions a habit will allow you to set aside time for yourself. This will immensely reduce your stress by creating a feeling of self importance within you. Repeat this at your own convenience or fix up a time each week or each month. Break boredom by varying the routine and see your stress vanishing.
Wrap up
Stress has inflicted adults and children alike, and has become common, though we do not realize this fact. Timely visits to professional spas to get treated from experts are a good option, but at the same time, pitching in with self therapies is not bad either. Enhance your spa experience by building home spa treatments as a conjunct to the professional services.
How To Home Spa
Spas are indoor tubs that are filled with heated water. People will use these tubs for a number of reasons, and they are often prized for their therapeutic value. These tubs are excellent for those who want to relax, and by being located inside of the home, the owner doesn't have to go outside to use them. The thing which makes these tubs different from traditional hot tubs is that they are located inside the home rather than outside. Using an outdoor hot tub presents a number of disadvantages. First, the use of the tub may be limited to certain weather conditions. For example, most people wouldn't use an outside tub when it is raining, snowing, or during any type of bad weather.
The indoor tub has the advantage, because it can be used during anytime of the year, so long as the water is heated. Another thing that separates these indoor tubs from their outside counterparts is the way in which they are designed. More often than not, the indoor tub will be designed with plastic, and they will come in one piece, rather than parts. In order for the water to become hot, the tub must have some type of heating source. In traditional cases, this heating source would either be gas or electric. Heaters with wood fires would also be used to heat the tub.
Due to the rising cost of energy, many tub owners have opted for energy sources that are more affordable. Some tubs use solar energy as a method of heating the water. When you purchase your indoor tub, there are a number of things you will want to keep in mind. First, the tub must be regularly sanitized. As you use the tub, organisms and bacteria could be present in the water. It should also be noted that the indoor tub is not the same as a bathtub. The bathtub is used purely for cleaning ones body, while the indoor tub is used more for relaxation and entertainment purposes.
The exterior portion of the indoor tub is called the spa shell. The surface and interior area will be connected together when the tub is actually being constructed. The surface of the tub is the place where you will see the color, the look, and how the tub feels when you get in. This part of the tub must be designed in a manner which protects it against breaking down when exposed to the sun, or to the chemicals that will be used to clean it. If you purchase a high quality tub, the surface will often be made of materials that will make them resistant to stains, bacteria, and even sunlight.
An indoor tub can be designed in two ways, and this is the rotational molding method and the vacuum forming method. With the rotational method, polyethylene powder will be put on a mold of aluminum, and this mold will be heated and spun around within an oven to allow the plastic to take the same shape as the mold. With the vacuum forming method, a sheet will be put over a mold, and it will be heated with a heater overhead. A vacuum will also be pulled on top of the mold.
