[H1100]How To Flat Abs
by U Suski, U S
If exercising is the bane of your existence, or if you would prefer to be flayed alive than be seen in a gym or doing anything that remotely resembles exercise, then you might find that it's slightly difficult to get the flat abs that you are dreaming about. However, on the other hand, if you don't mind the rigors of exercise and if you are alright with sweat dripping down your face and your muscles aching from here to eternity because you just had a good day getting down and dirty with your ab exercises, then there is probably hope for you yet. You will find it easier to get into the groove of exercising and eating healthy in order to get your flat abs, because make no mistake, you will need to exercise and you will need to change your diet to something that is remotely resembling healthy into order to get flat abs. That said, if all you want is to lose that belly pooch, and not necessarily to have flat abs, you should be able to significantly cut down on the ab exercises that you have to do, but remember this is only if you want to lose the belly pooch, not if you want to achieve great looking flat abs. To achieve this unfortunately, you will need to exercise and you will need to eat in a healthy manner, and this includes the amount of alcohol you imbibe on a daily or weekly basis as well. Once you have come to terms with all of this of course, you have the option of getting yourself down to your doctor and getting a routine physical done, or you also have the option of just winging things and taking it slowly to begin with. The choice is entirely in your hands. Then the next thing that you need to do is to find an ab exercise routine that will suit your physical fitness level as well as your goals. If you want flat abs, then you definitely wont have to do as many exercises as you would if you wanted six pack abs. And when this is all sorted out, you can then set about the task of getting your flat abs today, without any more delay.

If you want to lose weight and have flat abs, here are the seven exercises you want to make sure to avoid:

1. Lying straight-legged leg raises (first 45 degrees off of floor, one leg at a time or both at the same time) 2. Hanging leg raises with an arched back 3. Sit-ups with the feet supported 4. Straight legged sit-ups 5. ANY machine-based ab exercise 6. ANY machine-based twisting exercise 7. Torso twists

Don't forget that the point is that you want to burn belly fat while developing your abdomen muscles. You don't want to work on your legs, arms or any other part of your body. The exercises you do need to focus around just your abs and the supporting parts only.

These are the bad exercises that you need to avoid if you ultimate goal is to finally have great abs.

1. Lying straight-legged leg raises: An excellent exercise -- but NOT for your abs. The lying straight-legged leg raises are great for exercising the LOWER abdomen... but not the classic six-pack abs are. Sure, any exercise is a better than no exercise, but you're wasting your workout time on lying straight-legged leg raises if your goal is to develop your abs.

2. Leg raises with an arched back: Hanging leg raises straight on your back is a really bad ab exercise. When your back is arched, leg raises are absolutely no good for your abs.

3. Sit-ups with the feet supported: Doing sit-ups with no support below your legs or feet is a great ab exercise, but the minute you put support below your feet, the entire exercise becomes useless.

4. Straight legged sit ups: Doing sit-ups with your legs straight is a great exercise for your back, but that's it, it won't work your abdomen at all.

5. Any machine based ab exercise: The bottomline truth is that great abs can only be earned through hard manual work, no machine can help you have a six-pack like they say in the commercials.

6. Any machine based twisting exercise: Twisting is NOT a good ab workout. Twisting is a good workout to reduce the size of the waist, but it will not help you with six-pack abs.

7. Torso Twists: One more time, twisting does not help flatten your abs and it will not really burn enough belly fat.

Get everything out of every MINUTE of your exercise routine. If your goal is to burn belly fat, then make sure to do the right exercises or else you will be wasting your work-out time.

Doing exercises that are not designed to develop your abs is simply a waste of your time and energy, plain and simple.
