Check to see if there is a hot water system and if it is adequate enough for your needs. Also check to see if there are leaks, rust and age on the system, because replacing a busted hot water system can be expensive and is not something you can put off. Check out the manhole to see the condition of the insulation. Good insulation can save your hundreds of dollars on your electricity bills. Notice if there are any major cracks in the walls or if the doors stick, because this can be a major problem, not covered by homeowners insurance. Also, take notice if it has been recently painted or not.
