The True Cost Of Prostatitis Cures
Trevor Mulholland
As a man advances in age, the amount of DHT (dihydrotestosterone, a chemical product of the hormone testosterone) in his prostate gland is high even as the circulating testosterone level is lowered. This high level of prostate DHT causes enlargement of the prostate gland. Fortunately, there are now more than enough solution for this ailment in the market, and the patient could wisely choose which one is fitting for his particular case. Somehow, patients who are financially constrained often inject the factor of cost to the kinds of prostatitis cures he will choose for himself.
The examination and cure for prostatitis may be tedious, painful and even embarassingly invasive sometimes - the patient will just have to just bear it so his problem could be properly addressed. He should not keep anything from his examining doctor so that the diagnosis would be more intelligent and thorough. Prostatitis cures should leave nothing to chance; they should be direct and immediate.
Oftentimes, when the factor of cost enters the picture, it becomes an entirely new ballgame altogether. In countries where health insurances are comprehensive and inexpensive, cost are rarely a problem; but in countries when even insurance fees are difficult to afford, the cost of medication will play a major role in deciding the path to take in prostatitis cure. There are countries where the people are so poor they could not even bring their cases to the doctor for consultation because they could not afford consultation fees or they are afraid it would be a futile gesture because they would not be able to afford the medication that would be prescribed to them, anyway. In such a case, herbal medications and, sometimes, even unconventional alternative methods of treatment are resorted to. This is still okay. What is dangerous would be to resort to self-medication. It is always wise to consult a physician, and to read/research a lot for the best way to cure the ailment.
A patient relies on his physician for advice, and that is wise. But it would be even wiser for him to do some reading and researching of his own when addressing his particular case. Keeping in mind that what what may be good for Peter may be poison for John, and with due respect to his physician, he should keep an open mind to other alternatives to what he has already been told. Then if he is convinced that one option may be more preferable and effective, he may discuss the matter with his physician. It is expected that the doctor will try and persuade him to go the "tried and tested" route of prostatitis cures; when that happens and he is still not convinced that it is the right method for him, then it is time to switch physicians.
