The first thing you must expect as an affiliate marketer is Investment. Yes, their are many affiliate programs that you can start with for free. But, somewhere down the road you will find yourself having to invest in your online business.

Wether your program offers you high commissions if you upgrade your membership, or you need to pay for advertising to achieve better results. There will be investment.

Now that we have that out of the way, let`s talk about committement. Are you the type of person that will work your butt off now, to achieve wealth for the long term? Or are you impatient and think wealth is created quickly on the internet? If you are impatient, than affiliate programs will not be for you. Affiliate success takes time to build. It could happen in 2 months or it could take 2 years. It all depends on your efforts and your consistancy to pay off for you.

Affiliate marketing consists of various techniques, that take time for you to master. On top of that, there is alot more competition online these days. Other affiliates are marketing to the same customers, so you will need to be more informed to grab those affiliate commissions before your competion does.

In my years online as an affiliate marketer, I have signed up many affiliates under me. This part of the process was not a problem for me at all. The problem that I have encountered is keeping these affiliates under me motivated. The more motivated your downline is the more sales and sign ups they will generate, and that equals commissions for me.

Just like me, you will have to learn new marketing techniques to keep affiliates below you motivated. You will also have to spend your investments wisely on advertising that will produce profits. Your persistance is what will set you apart from other affiliates, when it comes to generating a large monthly income.

Take action and you will succeed. Do nothing and you will never earn a dime. I have these 2 types of affiliates in my downlines. The motivated sales person and the person that joins and never does a thing and than quits.

The motivated affiliate starts out methodically and learns what types of affiliate marketing techniques work and which techniques do not work. They will start making money and it will continually build, until they are earning more money than they were at their old jobs.

The un-motivated affiliate will join and than maybee, place one ad somewhere and get mad or frustrated when they don`t see results immediately. The next step that the un-motivated affiliate will take is to say "this affiliate program is a scam" and than quit.

As I have said, I have seen both types of affiliate marketers and the ones that take action and know that this is a business, always earn money.
