We are engrossed so much in our works and our daily life routines that we overlook the very necessary routines that should be positively followed. But none of us has that much time to give to such routines. It is such that if we do not pay attention to such stuff. And in any case, it is never known to us which problem is going to us and at what time. it is very difficult to predict anything. So the best way to look after this is that we should have all necessary safety measures installed with us so that if, by some misfortune, something comes our way, we have a cure.

Fire extinguishers are to, as the name suggests, extinguish the fire which surfaced very suddenly. It is there in each and every building these days. But it is not common to know how it operates. Very few people have the knowledge of how to operate a fire extinguisher. It is really tedious to use a fire extinguisher. Neither does anyone know about what is there in the extinguisher. It is just that we are not aware of it.

There are various types of fire extinguishers which put different types of fires. We should be able to make out the type of fire around us as it is very helpful when we have to use the fire extinguisher.

Class a fires are normal fires, which we get to see in daily life. Like the ones due to the burring of combustible substances such as wood, paper, plastic, etc. class b fires are those which involve the substances like flammable liquids and gases, e.g., gasoline, oil, paint, propane, butane etc. class c are those which involve the burning of appliances and other electrical equipments. Class d fires are the burning of metals, non metals and the daily use metals. Class k fires are fires in oils and fats like cooking oils.

So the point is, the more we know about the fires, the more we will be able to prevent ourselves from falling into the fire trap. This is any way very helpful and of big use. Fire extinguishers don't cost much and are very easy to handle. They don't even need large sum of money to maintain them.
