Today we are going to talk about working at home. There are many advantages to working from your home. The obvious is that you set your own work schedule. You don't have someone looking over your shoulder telling you what to do and how to do it, when to use the bathroom or get that cup of coffee.
There are many ways to work out of your home, but my personal favorite is using the internet to sell other people's products. It is not as easy as it may sound but if you have the passion to succeed and you have the patience you can be highly rewarded.
Most people start part time because they are employed in a full time job or maybe a student. This makes it a little tough because when you first get going you must dedicate a certain amount of time every day to make things happen. Please never believe any of the get rich quick schemes you see on the internet. It is pure hype.
Let's talk about affiliate marketing. The very first thing you do is make a business plan or at least an outline so you have a roadmap to follow. You can always refine it as you go. It would look something like this:
#1) Research an affiliate program that pays commissions timely. They must offer quality products and have a solid refund policy. Just do a Google search for "affiliate programs".
#2) Research the products offered in the program you chose. My best advice is go with a tight niche of products so competition is low, and make sure there is a market. Again, just type in Google the name of your product. On the results page, look to the right and make sure you see paid advertisers, maybe six or seven. Look at the upper right and see the number of competing sites. Ten to twenty five thousand would be a good starting range.
#3) Create a website for the chosen products. One website for each. Don't try it yourself when starting out. Make an outline of what you want for each and have someone like Godaddy build and host it for you. It is very cheap. There are many other places to get the same thing. This is one example.
#4) Most important now, Advertise, advertise then advertise some more. Remember passion. Be passionate about advertising. Start with free advertising only. After and only after you start making sales will you used paid advertising. If you are a rookie and you try paid advertising to start, you will lose interest very fast. You must experience the ups and downs of the business for free first.

This is a basic outline that if you follow with passion, you will be very successful.
