According to the American Heart Association, any form of exercise is good for the heart. It is important for the long term health of your heart and body to get in some form physical activity every day. Any exercise that causes you to become out of breath and perspire is good for your heart. If you haven't been active in a while or if you have other health complications such as obesity you should start any new physical activity in moderation.
The study suggests that having a sexual rendezvous around three times a week burns well near 7,5000 calories a year. That is equal to burning two pounds of fat off you a year! Having regular sexual activity also can help with coping with depression and help cholesterol levels. It is important for you not only to get active, but to enjoy the activity. Enjoying the activity means you are more likely to do it often, which can be only good for your heart. Making regular exercise of any kind a habit is a good idea also.
The men and women who have sexual activity five times a week or more are at a lower risk of cardiac arrest and heart attacks. People who exercise regularly are also at a lower risk of sudden cardiac arrest and death. Studies have shown that even as little as 30 minutes of cardio a day can make a huge difference in one's cardiovascular health. Regular exercise also reduces the risk of diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and low self esteem.
While any type of cardio is good for the heart, one is hard pressed to find a more fun way to burn those calories than sexual activity. Did you know that sexual intercourse burns about 45 calories an hour? The studies even show that when combined with foreplay it can increase to well over than 300 calories burned in an hour! That is equal to walking for over one and a half hours! In the end, you can decide however which way you would like to burn those calories, it's just important to get up and get that body moving!
