Of course, you need to know where to find those other fish and if you are going to the same pond again and again it's probably true that all of the good ones are taken. You have to think outside the box and actually try to meet new people in new places. When you change the scenery you likely change the faces.

The grocery store. As cliche as this sounds, many great couples have met in the grocery store. This doesn't mean that you should hang out around the produce on a regular basis, but what it does mean is that when you are at the store you should notice more than the groceries. If you see someone consistently staring at you or giving you small smiles, why not reciprocate? You may find someone really interesting while shopping, talk about multi-tasking!

Another place to meet people is at a local park. If you live near a park you should spend a bit of time there. If you have a dog, why not start walking them more often around the park? If you don't have a dog than why not take your favorite book and do a bit of reading under one of the nice shade trees. You may find that there are a lot of great looking and interesting singles doing the same thing!

The gym. This is another place to meet singles that may sound a little cliche, but you can meet a lot of people this way. The great thing about meeting people at the gym is that you know that they share your passion for healthy living so you have at least one thing in common right away. Again, this doesn't mean that you should just hang out at the gym to hang out, but when you are there take notice.

Church can be another place to meet other singles. In fact, your church may host singles events. This sounds a bit odd, but faith is one of this important considerations that brings a lot of couples together and even tears them apart. The nice thing about meeting someone at church is that you know they share your beliefs and you can build a relationship from here. Meeting others shouldn't be the only reason that you go to church, but while you are there it won't hurt to notice the scenery!

As you can see, when you think outside of the box just a little bit you can meet some really interesting people. When you begin to think like this meeting new people will actually become a lot easier and you'll start mixing with people that you never would have dated otherwise.
