St. John not so long ago celebrated 100 years of St. John's basketball. There were many commemorative events and items that were made just for those who wanted to celebrate 100 years of basketball playing. One of the most popular items that was made available for sale was the coffee table book written by Jim O'Connell and Paul Montella of the Associated Press. The book was the best seller from amongst several publications in celebration of the 100th anniversary. Also available to fans and collectors was the 2007-2008 St. John Men's and Women's Basketball Yearbook, the 2007-2008 St. John's Men's Basketball Media Guild and many other publications.
Last year, St, John's Red Storm statistics placed them square with overall game results of 11 wins and 19 losses. This represented home games played with tied results of 8 wins and 8 losses. For away games, there were 3 wins and 9 losses and in the neutral games played, results were no wins and 2 losses.
With much of the season already gone, it remains to be seen how the team will place in terms of the rest of the games to be played this season both at home and away.
