Pandora Peaks Love Doll
Derek Dashwood
The rare antiques heroic figure of John Constable, his life just shown on a British television, was one of struggle most of his life, and yet his visionary way of approaching nature caused him to be the sensation of the Paris Art Show in 1818, and again in 1819. The following French artists who followed, including Dutch Van Gogh, owe this free expression on canvas to a long forgotten painter of lovely english scenery, John Constable. It was the great joy for John to finally gain acceptance to the hand of his pretty wife, as we see in his painting of her.
Mrs. Constable is very pretty, and her innocent doe eyed look of adoration to him as he paints her with their seven children tumbling around makes you realize, as history says, that John Constable was a doting father and loyal husband. And that her every difficult pregnancy weakened her enough she died shortly after their seventh child was born. And his despair, and fear to feed his seven children, caused him to draw frenzied darkened scenes of barren castle ruins, looming skies, which the sympathetic public purchased eagerly, until the end of his now desolate life.
And what can one say to such a life of achievement and much joy, cut short by now known birth control, and how all that family, others not recorded, suffered the rest of their lives, their best days gone forever. And what occurs to me is that lightning could strike twice for them, perhaps, had they been able to allow themselves a position to be open to that happening. And as science knows, perhaps the youngest in that family, with least memory of the lost good, would more likely take that forward to the slump and look for, seek out, reach out and grab joy when they see it.
He may be some male or female you had to search beyond your normal reach to find someone who could be that close, and you will not have that lightning happen with the the opposite in the grocery line. Today, the miracle that did not exist to save John Constable, was that he did not complete a very detailed personality test on one of those internet meeting sites, one for seniors. And you know, it could have happened to John, because it does happen to people every day, that some perfect unny angel pops up on your laptop while you are adding more black to the clouds.
Like a pest, you swat delete. Gone. Pop. Back up. There her pretty smile is again. Delete. Pop, you are not getting rid of me that easy. You wonder, as the sky begins to open up, is this a message from God? If you take your time, you find out. And you can learn to love again, trust when you see a trusting soul, be trusting for that trusting soul. Do magic, have fun, do voodoo as only you two do.
Voodoos, we do. Who do? We do. So some times life works the other way. After decades of marriages five buckets of dung less magic than John Constable had and could never look for again, some men and women can get their foot out of the old bucket habit and go whoop it up at Fort Whoop Up. It is still there, like the Canadian version of the OK Corral. Not guns up here, but voodoo like you do. Who do, you do. You really could, too.Check out the rare antiques, that are valued and increasingly so, of rare, voodoo moments, caught in time. Never again. Enjoy.
