But none are as effective, as low cost and as easy to manage as the one I'm about to share with you right now.
In my opinion relationship based marketing is the mother of all marketing systems - especially if you're selling high dollar services like personal training.
There reason this type of marketing works so well is because it establishes trust, credibility and positions you as the authority.
See, people don't buy high priced services like personal training from a website, ad, or flyer. They buy from people they know, like and trust.
Instead your site, ads and flyers should simple generate interested leads into your relationship marketing funnel and then the real marketing begins.
And thats the little secret that most personal trainers overlook. They run ads and create flyers and attempt to sell off the page when in reality your ads should only serve to generate leads.
The reason relationship marketing works so well is because over a relatively short period of time you get to establish credibility, trust and position yourself as the local fitness expert - and that makes it a whole lot easier for people to want to do business with you.
But for most fitness professionals it's difficult to do this type of relationship based marketing because of three things.
1. You're way too busy to find time to follow up with your prospects. But you know you should, becuase that's what works.
2. You're not really sure how to follow up, what to say, and how often to say it. And you know that saying the wrong thing can actully do more damage than good.
3. You don't have a systemized process to connect with your prospect on a continues basis. People need to be reminded often.
Here's the secret to relationship based marketing.
Start a bi-monthly online newsletter. Email and online newsletter marketing is cost effective, easy to do, and give you instant results - unlike snail mail that takes forever.
Make it content rich, personal and fun to read. (boring articles do more damage than good)
Be consistent with your newsletter. Send one out on the 1st and 15th of each month.
And be sure to ask your newsletter subscribers for referrals.
