In the early nineteen hundreds, Andrew Carnegie recognized that there was a philosophy to success. In his advanced years, he acknowledged that he needed a younger, yet still, passionate person. He found what he was looking for in 25-year-old Napoleon Hill. Hill's dedication to this pursuit was unequalled. He spent the next 20 years researching and interviewing the most successful people in the world. Napoleon's findings lead to his first book, Think and Grow Rich, the best-selling book on success of all time. More millionaires in the twentieth century have attributed their success to this book than any other resource. Inspired by his book, countless authors and instructors have written and lectured on this same subject. Norman Vincent Peale wrote The Power of Positive Thinking, which displays an unmistakable resemblance to the philosophies of Hill. Peale's book and philosophy had a profound effect on many people including his theories on religion, which were contrary to the church at the time. Instead of employing fear and guilt as a means of stabilizing society and forcing church attendance, Peale cited the opposite. Thought and choice of positive thinking over negative thought resulted in voluntary participation and acquiescence.
Today, there are countless books and seminars on the philosophy of success. Written works such as Carl Jung's Collective Conscious, Andrew Carnegie's, Definiteness of Purpose, Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich, Norman Vincent Peale's Power of Positive Thinking, and the most current discipline, The Law of Attraction are all renowned books and/or theories. Moreover, Rhonda Byrnes' The Secret is one of the most recent case in point of The Law of Attraction.
The movie success of the 2004 film, What the Bleep, brought this to a scientific level through the field of Quantum Mechanics. In this, the phenomena - thoughts are energy, are scientifically explained. Quantum Mechanics along with the Entanglement Theory, which is the belief that everything was connected at the time of the big bang and therefore, proof that we must all be connected. This is a huge and profound effect on the world we live in.
All of these seemingly ordinary people had incredible insight and created their own proven and documented success. They share their gifts with all. Why then, are so many of us quick to ignore these astonishing revelations? Inextricably, the masses dismiss these substantiated occurrences as nonsense.
