It's painful. It's uncomfortable. You feel sick to your stomach while you're doing it. Why would you put yourself through this torture? The pain that I'm speaking to you about is what many of you have felt when you began an exercise program. You start the program and you ask yourself why you're putting yourself through this misery.
Even though you're sore and tired after your first class, you feel that you've done something that will be good for you in the long run. During the class you felt muscles that you hadn't noticed in a while. You did exercises that you hadn't done before but you managed to do them to some degree of satisfaction anyway. You thought about your breathing, something you hadn't done for a long time or never, and you began to feel how important it was and how good it felt.
Congratulations on your desire to do something different and get your body moving. For those of you who are younger or older than 35 years of age and have developed a habit of exercise, good for you for realizing the importance of staying healthy. For those of you who are under or over 35 and have not taken the time to stay with an exercise program up to this point, but you're doing something about it now, good for you.
The point is that it really doesn't matter when you start or what kind of shape you're in, you can take yourself into being a whole new you if you just decide to commit and make an effort. What kind of a vision do you have for yourself and your health. Your vision can and will become a reality if you decide to make it happen. Commit to a regular exercise program along with a diet and nutrition program that can give you the energy necessary to perform at peak efficiency and you'll be pleasantly surprised at the many things you accomplish and how great you feel.
Health and physical fitness is a state of mind more than anything else. It really is true, if you believe you can achieve. Be sure to give it a go and after a while you can look back and smile when you think about your initial discomfort as you're looking in the mirror and liking what you see and bouncing around your house or place of work with a new energy that you have never felt or have not felt for a very long time.
The small amount of pain and discomfort that you put yourself through very soon will be worth a tremendous amount to you in terms of energy and excitement about your new you.
