First thing first, to handle stress, you must take some time out of your daily routine to hang loose. For this, you can always arrange some holidays in a distant land. This will help you to stay away from negative thoughts for a while.
Also, when you will go on to spend some time in the lap of nature, you will feel rejuvenated. That's the main idea behind traveling to another place in times of stress. However, if you can not go for holidays, then you must try to include some exercise in your routine.
In fact, it is better to go for morning walk as fresh air can give you the strength to handle stress. Also, exercising and walking will increase blood circulation. It will surely make you feel more energetic. So, always keep in mind that you just can not handle stress while sitting in your dark room. You will have to come out of your shell to handle your stress.
Apart from this, you must also keep an eye on the things that you eat. Going with a balanced diet will always help you to get out of stress and depression. You will have to avoid certain stimulants altogether.
For instance, caffeine is something that should be avoided as it causes the release of adrenaline which can increase your stress. Smoking is another thing that should be avoided to deal with your stress. Besides leaving these stimulants, you can go with a diet having high carbohydrates as carbohydrates can stimulate the release of brain neurotransmitter serotonin which can help to reduce stress.
Along with going right diet and exercise, you can also try to go with some other methods to deal with stress. For instance, yoga and meditation can help you to handle stress in a better way. Also, you can go with some other techniques like Reiki to feel relaxed in stress.
Simply put, you can stay under stress as long as you want. However, there are certain ways to handle it that should be used by everyone who may be suffering with sheer amount of stress.
