Don't-Jump right into a business opportunity online without knowing what you are getting yourself into. There are all kinds of programs out there that that look like they will be an awesome easy way to make money. While some of them actually are realistic and can make you substantial amounts of money, most are just their to get you to buy something only to leave you with less money and less hope.

Do-Research the program extensively before joining. An hour may seem a bit long for you at the time to do research on the internet, but that same hour could very well have saved you $50 on some eBook or washed up "opportunity" that no longer exists.

Don't overspend on any form of marketing no matter how many "testimonials" or "success stories" they have. After finding a business opportunity or program to join, a very common mistake is for a new person to come across some "magic marketing service" that promises them everything. In my several years of internet marketing experience, and from talking with dozens of other internet marketers, there is still NOTHING that is worth sinking 100 percent of your advertising budget into. I must admit, I am guilty of violating this don't.

Do test several different forms of marketing and see which ones work the best. What works one day will not necessarily work the next. What worked for your friend all last week might not work for you today. You will hear from any marketer this one piece of advice, "be consistent with your advertising."

You don't want to test something, have it not work, and then never try it again. While there are usually several different forms of advertising experienced marketers use, there is always one or two that become your favorite. They might be something you know will get a return on your money every time, even if it is really small, or something they know could yield a huge profit if the right people see it on the right day.

Don't Give up! There are absolutely NO WAY to become a millionaire overnight. Even winning the lottery take a few days to get everything cleared. Just because you haven't made money your first month or two doesn't mean you never will. There is always something new to learn about marketing.

Do Keep a positive attitude and surround yourself with successful people. You will be surprised at how many people will be willing to lend you a hand and help you expedite you on your road to success. Most people are really helpful because everyone has been where you are... NEW.

The rewards of a work from home career or business can be very rewarding. Even though some of these Do's and Don'ts seem rather obvious, they are often forgotten from time to time. If you can remember these simple rules, it will save you tons of time, money, and most importantly HOPE!
