Can Targeted Traffic Be Generated With Article Marketing?

Let's say you want to sell a course on Article Marketing. Let's also say that you have the course up on a webpage ready to go. All it needs is people coming to it.
Writing articles is an old mainstay in traffic generation for Internet Marketing (IM) and the most important concept in IM is Traffic + Conversion = Sales. I hope I'm not getting too basic here, but...
When a "looker" decides to buy...that's conversion. A good salespage can do that.
But wait...the salespage needs people coming to it.
And, it can't just be any old person. It has to be people who are specifically looking for what you have.
In other words...targeted traffic.
It's the old "Get a good offer in front of the right eyeballs and you got 'er going...if you got enough eyeballs."
But let's get on with how it works.
When an article is written correctly and placed on sites like submityourarticle.com, Google will see it and offer it up in the SERP's. (Search Engine Page Results.)? Google loves relevancy more than anything, so here are the things to do to insure relevancy.
There is this concept I call the "relevancy chain".?I might have picked this up somewhere or I might have coined the phrase myself.
A searcher (a potential customer) types the keywords "Article Marketing" into Google.?
The search results (serp's) may well include your article that you submitted to the distribution company.
The resource box (about the author) points the customer via a link to right where you want them, namely your webpage offer called "Article Marketing for Targeted Traffic."
This is a solid concept. Distribution Sites like Ezineartcles and Submityourarticle.com are searched by the millions. So, insert an article that sorts out those people that would be willing to buy what you have to sell. Simple, right? Yes! Sort of...
What I was going to do here was present a picture of this form of marketing that hadn't been seen before, in an attempt to simplify the process.
But I don't know if I am actually simplifying it!
So I'm going to repeat it. It's important.
1. Write a good, optimized for your keywords, article.?
2. Google will serve it up to people looking for the content you wrote about.
3. Your article should deliver good, useable information about the subject at hand.
4.The resource box at the bottom must have a link to your sales page that, not coincidently, has an offer related to your subject! If your content pretty much matches up to the salespage content the relevancy chain will not be broken because the person searching was looking for just that!
So now you have the right kind of customer looking at your offer!
I'll bet you can guess that this article was aimed at Article marketing, marketing, traffic, and targeted traffic. And check this out...That's what you typed in when searching!?Or close to it.
