You might have tried before to build you list, but you have never managed to get more than a few dozen people subscribing to your list. You also find that those who have subscribed don't want to buy anything you offer them. You have tried to give them quality, but haven't made any money off the list you have built.

It is too easy when this is your situation, to quit and decide that you have tried and it didn't work. The answer is to analyze why it didn't work and then correct the problems. Remember, you goal is to have a lucrative list. If you are selling a product you might want to keep an element of surprise, but not so much that nobody knows what they are buying. Once the person understands what they are signing up for, then you need to build trust with them. This is what relationship building is all about. They need to know they can trust you, and if you build the trust correctly, you will find them responding to you as a friend.

One thing you need to look at is the whole of your website. Depending on the niche you are in will depend on the content, but generally you want to avoid anything that will offend people. Now, that might seem a difficult thing to do, but use common sense, if you are offering something where a child might show interest, and then you don't want any nudity on the site. It isn't about being everything to everyone, but being sensitive to the people who are going to be on your list, and what is appropriate for that list building.

Always do what you say on your site, if you say you'll never share their details, and then make sure you don't do that. If you say you will never send them details of any promotions, you'll have a problem getting them to spend any money with you.

The big secret to having a lucrative list is to offer them good products or services. Look at what you are offering and see if there is anything you can give which will make it a given that people will want to buy?

Try and match your bonuses with the original product, that is always a great way to get people to buy. Or, if you are selling them a product, is there a service which would make the product easier to use? You could offer the service as an OTO and you would be surprised at how many people would buy.

Treat your list with care, and they will become a big asset in your business. Imagine if every time you send out a promotion, the list converts at an above average rate, which is what happens when you have a lucrative list.
