It may take a bit of time to see any results, and you want to give the company the benefit of the doubt.
If your business records are too messy (or incomplete) and you can't tell whether or not your campaign was successful, you can use other ways to make a decision. Remember, that the success of an Internet marketing campaign isn't always the amount of profit during the month or quarter. Sure, profit is a huge factor in determining whether any advertising campaign was successful, but it isn't the only factor. A big factor that is often ignored is getting people to know about your business, so make sure to look at how many new visitors your Internet marketing firm brought you. If you had a successful campaign, you should probably see an increase in the number of visitors to your website in addition to your other goals.
Another sign of success for marketing is that you have an increased number of customers on your Email list. If you don't have an Email list, you should probably get one, because this is an invaluable tool for boosting sales.
Your search engine results rankings before and after the campaign are going to also be able to tell you if your campaign was worth the money or not. A lot of times, you are going to gain a lot of ground on the results rankings when you have a professional firm help you out, because they are going to know what they are doing. If this isn't a goal that you cared about before, but now have realized that it is going to be important, make sure to talk to the company that you are working with and notify them of a change in your goals.
There are a lot of different things to look at if you want to know whether your Internet marketing campaign did any difference or not. Once you decide whether it was worth the money, you are going to easily be able to decide if you should have the same company work for you again. If you find out that Internet marketing didn't work for you, you may want to immediately change companies, but first you want to decide whether or not your goals were realistic enough to achieve.
