Dealing With Stress, Know How To Deal With Stress

With the uncertainty in the market place it is easy to see how you could begin to feel the overwhelming yoke of stressed at work. For all you know the next time you see your foreman or office manager walking the floor he/she could be coming to lay you off. For workers just about everywhere this economy is enough to make you sea sick. Not to mention the extra burden of the work of those who were laid off or fire and the shorten dead lines.
Don't look back and keep drudging up the past. If there has been bad choices or experiences; admit it, learn 'radical forgiveness' or any other techniques to help you put it in the past to stay and move forward in your life. Being vengeful, hateful or angry does not only increase the stress in your life; this is a core cause to health problems. If you choose this path of negativity, you will be treading on dangerous grounds and ruin your life; by becoming negative and allowing stress the upper hand, your health will slowly deteriorate.
Stress is normal. Normally, it comes from daily circumstances. When stress enhances mental or physical function, then it can be considered as a good stress. But if stress continues especially on excessive degrees then it requires a solution. Failure to do so can lead to either depressive (withdrawal) or anxious (escape) behavior. What are the ways to deal with stress?
There are a multitude of ways of dealing with stress. Some have been borrowed from other cultures and religions. The Hindus have yoga and the Japenese have zen. Both of these methods are excellent ways of relieving stress. Yoga is a method of stretching the muscles of various body parts as well as use of positions to relax various parts of the body. Zen is more of a psychological approach to relaxation. It emphasizes relaxing the body through meditation. It can be very effective at relieving stress, especially if practiced on a daily basis.
Unhealthy ways of dealing with stress include the following. Caffeine is not going to do much good in your body and many people find pleasure from the black drink which is highly addictive. Although it will not cause very severe consequences, it will just have you flock the coffee house just to satisfy your craving but not to treat your stress symptoms. Smoking is another pleasurable and unhealthy way of dealing with stress.
It is being firm with what you have decided and sticking to what you believe no matter the implication or the influence as long as you are on the right. Being decided and showing confidently your position, will avoid spending too much time debating on an issue in our mind not having courage and confidence to believe that your decision could be final. We should take advantage of everyday lessons that help us become more assertive as we grow older.
