Your whole article marketing campaign depends on how many article directories accept your articles. If you have a low acceptance rate, it's all for nothing. Precious time would have been wasted. Actually, only a few simple steps are needed to prepare an article for submission to ensure a high acceptance rate.
But note that before I give you the tips, the assumption here is that the article is original and unique, and written by a human writer. No bot generated content. Articles that are carelessly generated by bots are easily recognizable and will be declined by most, if not all article directories.
The first thing to do before submitting your article is to ensure that it has the right number of words in the article. While the majority of the directories accept articles of about three hundred words, there remains a handful of directories that require a minimum of four hundred and fifty words. Since it doesn't take more than five minutes to add in an additional hundred and fifty words, I highly recommend marketers to submit articles with no less than four hundred and fifty words.
The second step, which is an obvious step, is to proof read your article. A few mistakes here and there are generally acceptable as human errors but some article marketers do not proof read at all. As a result, the articles are full of grammar and spelling errors, making it hard for article directories to approve the articles. Carelessness and blatant negligence is a sign of disrespect for the article directories, and they wouldn't hesitate to delete those articles immediately.
The next thing to do is to check your article links. Leave the links in the author resource box if possible, as most directories do not allow links in the article body. Also, the majority of sites also accept a maximum of two links in the resource box. So if you're submitting the same article to a large number of directories, it's a good idea to keep the number of links to a maximum of two. Of course, anchor texts are allowed. Also make sure that you test your links to ensure that they're working properly before submitting. Otherwise, your efforts will be wasted again.
Finally, make sure that you allow the text in the articles to wrap naturally in the text box. Many article directories do not accept articles with hard line breaks (or hard return). These articles give formatting problems to the site, and they won't spend time correcting formatting errors in the articles for you! So make their job easier by submitting the correct format, and your articles will get approved more easily.
If you keep the above steps in mind when preparing your article for submission, you should see a much higher acceptance rate for your articles. Pretty soon, you'll be the proud owner of a site with high link popularity.
